May I present to you this 1950s AL-KA Kunst Kronach Bavaria porcelain vase! I had problems recognizing the hallmark but with some internet help I now know who made this vase.

Have a seat!
Some people prefer to have different chairs in their living room than a set of them. In this case I think it's wise to buy second hand, vintage or antique chairs on the internet or at a flea market. You may find a set of the same antique chairs quite expensive but single chairs are a different story. You can purchase a chair at a cheaper price than in many chain stores. There's a huge variety of chairs to choose from and they are usually made of high quality material. Besides, I believe that if furniture has already lasted 100 years I'm sure it will go on for another hundred.

Sewing machines are quite desirable for many collectors. They can still be used to sew but many people prefer to use them as desks or tables. This sewing machine has two little drawers once used to hide away needle and thread. Nowadays, one might decide to put their pens and pencils away.

Arts and Crafts
This little box could have once been a snuff-box. It's silver and marked with the number 800 on the bottom. There are also two, small, red coral stones. The artist put a lot of work in to it and it's easy to notice how much detail has gone in to this dainty little object. I think it's a stunning work of art!

I bought this beautiful, brass candlestick a few years ago at a market in Poland. The hallmark says tamar.
Vintage ballerina brooch
This is a vintage ballerina brooch which is similar to the boucher ballerina brooches. The delicate brooch has green and white crystals on the dress.

Liberec is a lovely city in the Czech Republic. I went there to have a look at their famous botanical garden but to my surprise I noticed some fabulous houses. Amazing!!!

A little bit of Japan in Wrocław...
Art Nouveau was influenced by Japanese art. Artist appreciated its reference
to nature and organic forms. In Wroclaw
there is also a place inspired by Japan. The Japanese Garden in Wroclaw (Ogród Japoński we Wrocławiu) was
designed during 1909-1912. Fritz Von Hochberg who spent many years in Japan was
the initiator of the project. A Japanese gardener, Mankichi Arai designed the
garden. Although since 1912 the garden has completely changed it is still worth

Don't forget about Wroclaw
Wroclaw seems to be a forgotten land when talking about art nouveau. I believe this is due to the city's difficult history as it was earlier known as Breslau and belonged to Germany. This means that Wroclaw's architecture cannot be classified as Polish secession but unfortunately it is also skipped in lists of German Jungendstil.

Paw to piękny i wyjątkowy ptak - nic dziwnego, że przez wieki inspirowano się nim w sztuce. Artyści z czasów secesyjnych inspirowali się naturą. Piękne pawie były przedstawiane nie tylko na obrazach, ale także ozdabiały budynki. Również we Wrocławiu nie brakuje pawi na kamienicach... no i oczywiście we Wrocławskim Zoo.

Beautiful peacocks were presented not only in paintings but also used in architecture. Wrocław is no exception - you can find peacocks in architecture... and in Wroclaw Zoo of course.

Jajko po Królewsku ;-)
Mam dla Was pomysł na wielkanocne śniadanie. Jajko w porcelanie wygląda elegancko i smakuje wyśmienicie. Jeszcze troszkę czasu zostało do Wielkanocy warto więc w tym czasie zaopatrzyć się w takie cudeńka :-)

Co z tym szkłem?
Szkło jest dla mnie zdecydowanie trudniejszym materiałem badawczym niż porcelana. Gdy spojrzę na porcelanę i jest sygnaturka to wiem z czym mam do czynienia. W szkle są różne cięcia... i tu zaczyna się problem... :-) Istnieją różne wzory z których możemy wyczytać ważne dla nas informacje. O tej misie na zdjęciu wiedziałam tyle, że pochodzi ze Stanów Zjednoczonych. Poszukałam więc informacji na temat amerykańskiego szkła. Okazuje się, że amerykanie naprawdę interesują się tym tematem i wszystkie wzory są opisane w internecie. Trochę mi to zajęło zanim znalazłam wiadomości na temat mojej misy, ale w końcu dowiedziałam się, że misa pochodzi z lat sześćdziesiątych, wytwórnia i wzór to: Anchor Hocking, Wexford Glass. Misa jest bardzo duża, ciężka i jest w świetnym stanie. Warto zainteresować się szklanymi naczyniami, które mamy w domu, na strychu czy w piwnicy :-)

Zielono mi
Niestety nie mam zbyt dużo informacji na temat tej cukierniczki i maselniczki ponieważ nie mają sygnatury. Wiem, że zostały przywiezione ze Stanów Zjednoczonych. Są pokryte zieloną emalią i ozdobione liśćmi oraz owocami.
